It has been raining a bit here in Adelaide over the last few days and this has highlighted a problem with umbrella use. There are usually plenty of places to walk while it rains without getting wet. This is fantastic for people who often choose to go without umbrellas. However, there are increasing numbers of people that are walking under cover with their umbrella above their heads. Do you really need an umbrella if you are under cover? Probably not.

But, this is not the worst of it. These inconsiderate fools have the temerity to force not umbrella users out into the rain. They take up more room on the footpath as a reult of their umbrella and refuse to step out into the rain to let non-umbrella users go by under cover. Why would you do that? You have coverage, you will not get wet by stepping out from under the covered area. To all umbrella users - try and be a little more considerate of others. Don't force those without umbrellas out into the rain so you can stay under cover and be a little more conscious of the size of your umbrella. I have too often nearly lost an eye...
