New burners

The brewery has been working on a converted natural gas four ring burner for a long time. It has dones it job and worked well. There are a lot of pluses when it comes to natural gas. You never run out of gas and it works. The down side is, unless it has been converted well the gas flow isn't strong enough to get a good rolling boil in a lot of situations. For example, despite being a four ring burner the burner does struggle when the volume being boiled is above 20 litres. It also really struggles if the wind blows. Sure it may have been cheaper to, include a wind guard around the burner to maximise the heat efficiency, but instead two new burners are on their way.
Italian spiral burners are very efficient and relatively cheap if you go to the right places. So a new one for the hot liquor tank, and another for the kettle and the brewery is ready to go LPG. The four ring burner is probably ok for LPG as well but it may require some tweaking.
Mongolian burners on natural gas could have been the best way to go with the brewery to keep it all on natural gas rather than LPG to keep running costs down and remove the hassle of topping up bottles. However, the brewery needs to be more mobile as there is no guarantee that the next brewery location will hvae mains gas connection and that would require the purchase of two new burners. On top of this mongolians pump out a lot of heat and really require a professional to install.
